     Dr. and Mrs. Malone's first first 6 children were born at their home in Athens, Limestone County, Alabama.
     They moved to this current homesead in DeSoto County, Mississippi aroud 1859.
     They obtained a square mile homestead where they built their home shown below. The last 5 of their 11 children were born in this house, including my great-grandfather Mayor James Henry Malone. The home is still owned by decendants of the Malone family.
     The cedar trees in front of the house and the pecan tree orchard on the corner of Malone Road and Stateline Road are from trees brought from Limestone County, Alabama.
