Re 12th Ms. Calvary, my gggrandfather BA Terry (Beverly Ann) served in the 12th Ms. Calvary, prior to that he was in the 5th Ms Infantry, he served as a Sgt. in Armisteads Regt of Calvary. Last entry Aug 1864 detailed with Lt. Fulton as a scout. The above info taken from The Mississippi Archives. Just for your info his son Charles Robinson Terry my gggrandfather served in Co. A of the 8th Mississippi Infantry. After the war both moved to Texas, BA Terry is buried in Burleson, Tx. His son Charles is buried in Decatur, Texas

Thanks for your response, I finally did get a roster, also found out that my ggrandfather was also in the 5th Ms Infantry prior to being in the Calvary unit. On a pension application for his wife one of the statements is from a W.M. Sprinkle verifying his service, this gentleman also was in Co. H, and they appeared to have come to Texas together. How or why they ended up in Texas is unknown to everyone in the family. The last entry in my ggrandfathers service record lists him as Awol, this was during the closing days of the war so guess he saw the writing on the wall. I'm sure he must have known your ggrandfather. Small worl huh. Thanks again..
